About TradesProHub

Built by licensed contractors who’ve been in the trenches. We know what tools work, what software actually helps, and what things really cost — because we do this work every day.

Our Mission

The trades industry deserves better information. Homeowners searching for plumbing costs get outdated data from content farms that haven’t touched a wrench. New plumbers looking for career advice get generic articles written by people who’ve never sweated a joint.

TradesProHub exists to fix that. Every cost guide, tool review, and software comparison on this site is informed by real-world experience from licensed, working contractors. We’ve installed the water heaters, snaked the drains, and used the software. When we quote a price range, it reflects what actual shops charge — not a number pulled from thin air.

Our goal is simple: give homeowners, apprentices, and fellow contractors the trustworthy, practical information they need to make good decisions.

Editorial Standards

We hold ourselves to a higher standard than typical content sites:

  • Real-world pricing: All cost data is based on actual quotes and invoices from licensed contractors, cross-referenced with industry databases. We update pricing annually and note the update date on every page.
  • Hands-on tool reviews: We only review tools we’ve used on the job. If we haven’t personally tested it, we say so. No fake “best of” lists generated from Amazon specs.
  • Transparent software comparisons: We’ve run our businesses on these platforms. Our comparisons cover what matters to tradespeople — dispatch, invoicing, job costing — not just feature checklists.
  • Local context matters: A water heater install in Phoenix and one in Denver are different jobs. We factor in local building codes, climate, water quality, and labor markets.
  • Regular updates: Prices change. Tools get updated. Software releases new features. We revisit and update our content to keep it accurate.

Who’s Behind This

TradesProHub is founded by a licensed master plumber based in Fresno, California, with over a decade of experience in residential and commercial plumbing. After running a service business, managing crews, and implementing field service software firsthand, the frustration with low-quality online information became the motivation to build something better.

Our contributors include licensed plumbers, HVAC techs, and electrical contractors from across the country. When we publish a salary guide for Texas or a cost estimate for Los Angeles, it’s reviewed by someone who works in that market.

How We Make Money

Transparency is a core value. Here’s exactly how TradesProHub earns revenue:

  • Software referrals: When you sign up for field service platforms like ServiceTitan or Housecall Pro through our links, we may earn a referral fee. This never influences our reviews — we recommend what we actually use and believe in.
  • Affiliate links: Tool reviews include Amazon Associates links. If you buy a tool through our link, we earn a small commission (typically 3%) at no extra cost to you.
  • Advertising: We may display relevant advertising. We never accept payment for positive reviews or biased cost data.

We recommend products and services we genuinely use and trust. If something isn’t worth your money, we’ll tell you — even if it means missing a commission.

Affiliate Disclosure

This does not affect our editorial independence. Our reviews and recommendations are based on genuine hands-on experience. We never accept payment for favorable coverage.
